Civil Service Fees
Effective January 1, 2024, the Platte County Sheriff’s Office Civil Process Unit will be updating our service fees in accordance with House Bill No. 2224 and mileage fee rates in accordance with the IRS 2024 Standard Mileage Rates. The Platte County Sheriff’s Office assesses mileage fees in accordance with Missouri Revised Statute 57.280. Listed below is a breakdown of fees by Area/City and Zip Code effective January 1, 2024.
Certified mail postage fees are now $6.40 per mailing plus the $30 service fee per person.
Papers submitted to the Platte County Sheriff’s Office for service must include payment upon receipt (check or money order) made payable to Platte County Sheriff.
- Civil Service Fees: $30.00 per person + applicable mileage.
- Subpoenas: $20.00 per person + applicable mileage.
- Eviction Related Papers: $60.00 for the Residence + applicable mileage
