Platte County Emergency Management advises the public to use caution at railroad crossings along Missouri River

Platte County Emergency Management was notified that Burlington Northern/Santa Fe Railroad will be removing active warning devices from railroad crossings along the Missouri River to protect them from flood damage.  The Public is reminded to be cautious at all railroad crossings, especially at those locations where the warning devices have been removed.  Streets where the warning devices are being removed include: Stanton Road, County Road 103, County Road 13, Main Street (Iatan), Hwy 45 Spur, Kisker Road, Main Street (Parkville), East Street, Conoco (Private Industrial), Intercon Drive (Private Industrial), Mattox, Van De Populier, and Zeke Road (Private Industrial).
