Applicants who have received firearms training provided by a Federal, State, County or municipal law enforcement agency or who are qualified firearms safety instructor do not require additional training to apply for a certificate of qualification to carry a concealed firearm. Applicants falling under this provision must follow the above application procedure and present a copy of the firearms training certificate at the time of application. Effective October 11, 2003 , House Bill 349 allows all Missouri peace officers to carry a concealed weapon whether on or off duty, whether in or out of their jurisdiction. House Bill 349 states the sign size must be a minimum 11″x14″ with a minimum of 1″ letters detailing that firearms are prohibited. Applicants who have received their certificate of qualification to carry a concealed firearm need to be aware that the Missouri Office of Revenue will require additional fees to have the concealed carry endorsement on their driver’s license or their non-driver’s license I.D.
